It is not often as a writer that you ever get to engage the more "cartographical" parts of your brain, but when you're writing fantasy it's actually a given that the world you build exists geographically as much as culturally or personally.
Hence I engaged the artist Nalja Kay to bring to life the isolated realm of Torinokosareta Basyo (aka 'The Lands Left Behind'), and she did a killer job based off my shitty first sketch (which you can also see below).
